The Chiriquí Province is located on the western coast of Panama, between the border with Bocas del Toro Province, the Veraguas Province, and Costa Rica. 2. Tierras Altas (Volcán & Cerro Punta)

Volcan and Cerro Punta are small agricultural towns, located about 1.5 hours from David City. The roads have magnificent views to the mountains and farms. 3. Chiriquí Gulf

The Gulf of Chiriquí is located on the Pacific coast of Panama and extends from the border with Costa Rica to the Azuero Peninsula. This unique region has one of the largest coral reefs in the Pacific, amazing mangrove forests, and the largest island in Panama. It is home to the Parque Nacional Marino Golfo de Chiriquí and Coiba National Park.  Exotic animals such as howler monkeys, sea turtles, and around 280 bird species inhabit the Chiriquí Gulf natural reserve. Additionally, between the months of August and October, the large migration of humpback whales takes place, and this spectacle is not to be missed.

4. Puerto Armuelles

 Puerto Armuelles is a peaceful small town in Chiriquí, it is part of the Corregimiento del Barú. The Bay of Charco Azul surrounds its coasts, and is an important area for the loading and unloading of crude oil. Puerto Armuelles used to be a very vibrant town while the Chiquita Fruit Company was still in the area, once the company decided to close operation many families migrated to Panama City and David City to find new opportunities. This small banana production and fishing town have experienced a complete change during the past years. Currently, the company Del Monte has started the operations with reactivation of the Banana Production and Pineapple Production, including a new four-lane road.
Furthermore, tourism is growing and many foreigners have found a home in the different natural beaches around Puerto Armuelles.

 Located about 30 minutes (25km) from David City. This beach is a popular weekend escape due to the proximity to David. Playa la Barqueta has gray sand and a very strong riptide. It is a place to spend an evening and watch beautiful sunsets. The town most closely within La Barqueta Beach is called Alanje, it is a fishing and agricultural center which produces mainly rice.
