The farm is also host to other species of plants, including succulents, ferns, heliconias, bromeliads, amongst others.
These exotic flowers comprise part of one of the largest families of flowering plants on earth. There are over 40,000 different species and at least 200,000 hybrids around the world. These flowers have the ability to adapt to their given environment; it is possible to find them in the tropics, arctic tundra, as well as many other places.
The particular and distinguishing name of this farm refers to a specific type of orchid known as Dracula (Masdevallia chimera), the name to the orchid derives from the characteristic blood-red color of several species, and the strange aspect of the long spurs of the sepals hanging downwards. In the world, you may find 120 species of Dracula’s orchids.
Finca Dracula Orchid Tour opens its doors from January to April. The stunning gardens and the extensive collection of orchid and exotic flowers create a magical environment of relaxation and paradise.
Currently, the farm encompasses over ten hectares of gardens, which have been built over the past 30 years, and the best part is that they are constantly offering new attractions to their visitors.
